Description
Western goldentop is an often overlooked, yet important late-season native pollinator plant found growing along rivers and small streams throughout the Klamath-Siskiyou region. The late-season nectar it provides along waterways is important to native pollinators and southbound migrating monarch butterflies. The pretty, deep yellow flower clusters are similar in appearance to goldenrod, blooming in late summer to early fall. This very tall perennial wildflower typically grows 3′-6′ tall, and is tolerant of a wide variety of soil types as long as sufficient moisture is available. Perfect for a sunny, moist site in your garden, near a pond, or riparian area.

No pretreatment required. Sow outside in fall to early spring.
