Description

Subalpine spiraea is also known as rose meadowsweet. It is a shapely deciduous shrub that grows in wet locations at mid to high elevations, generally in wetlands or along streams and lake edges. Subalpine spiraea has fragrant pink flowers that are attractive to pollinators. Grows 1.5′-3′ tall. Grow in a moist location with good drainage in the garden setting, with part shade at lower elevations.

Seed Germination Instructions

30-60 days cold-moist stratification. Sow outside in fall to late winter.
