Description

Belonging to the mint family, horse mint has a lovely mint aroma. It is a popular plant for pollinator and native plant gardens. The pink to purple flowers are attractive to many pollinators, including butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. Horse mint grows in many habitat types and is adaptable to different growing conditions, and although reasonably drought tolerant, it will look its best if it has some summer moisture. Deadheading hose mint flowers after the first bloom can prolong the bloom time and help push a second bloom. Horse mint is somewhat deer resistant and is not preferred by deer, but may be nibbled occasionally, depending on your deer’s palate.

Horsemint (Agastache urticifolia) seed packets contain approximately 250 seeds.

Seed Germination Instructions
