Description
Called swamp onion, Pacific mountain onion, or wild onion, this mid to high elevation species prefers full sun and wet conditions. It grows in well-drained, moist, sunny meadows and wetlands. The pretty lavender pink flowers bloom in late spring and are visited by many pollinators. Some parts of this plant are considered edible, and the plant produces a distinct onion smell. Grows well in a moist, sunny garden space.
