Description

Narrowleaf milkweed spreads by rhizome, sending up many flowering stems with narrow, whorled leaves, topped by pinkish flower clusters. It is adaptable to many soil types, including clay soil. An important larval host plant for the monarch butterfly, but loved by many other pollinators as well. Easy to grow, deer resistant and drought tolerant. A great plant to grow for monarch butterfly habitat. Give plenty of space for this species to spread by rhizome. Drip irrigation is preferred in order to prevent leaf spot from overhead irrigation. If you plant it most likely monarch butterflies will find it!

Narrowleaf milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis) seed packets contain approximately 115 seeds.

Seed Germination Instructions
