Description

Oregon fawn lily has astonishing white flowers with yellow bases that can form extraordinary displays in early spring. These ephemeral beauties grow from a bulb and produce wide green leaves that are mottled with brown or white, similar to a fawn’s coat, hence the name fawn lily. When in full flower Oregon fawn lily grows around 1-1.5′ tall. It is native to western North America and is also referred to as giant white fawn lily. It grows in moist woodlands, meadows, openings in coniferous forest, and in gravelly or rocky places, such as rock outcrops or talus slopes. It prefers shade to part shade. Pollinated by bees, including bumble bees.

Oregon fawn lily (Erythronium oregonum) seed packets contain approximately 45 seeds per packet.
